Do the featured musicians visit the site?

Yes and no. That depends on a relationship we have, and whether an interview was an exclusive or corporate (although, for the most part, the interviews on the site are exclusively arranged). The post in the Guestbook or on a Forum doesn't guarantee it will be read by a visiting addressee.

Can you help me get in touch with this or that musician?

No, especially if you call yourself 'an illegimate daughter of Bruce Dickinson' or something like that. Still, if there's something serious which might interest the one you want to get in touch with, and we're in touch, you message can be passed on.

Why there's no system to the updates schedule?

Actively working as a journalist and editor in the daily paper means there's only so much information you feel able to dabble with, even though writing about music is a hobby as much as a job. More so, as in a course of few years that a PayPal link is on the news page nobody followed it to donate a penny or a cent, there's only so much of a desire to continue. The site's no commercial, there's no ad bar a blurb from a host and the friends' banners in rotation, it brings no money but costs a certain sum per year; therefore, it's ultimately me and only me who decides on when the next update will be, and there's no obligation except when there's a promo / review material been sent that demands to be represented.

Why such-and-such album isn't reviewed on the site?

I don't have it - as simple as that! Or I have it but bought it with my own money and don't feel obliged to write about it. Although sometimes I do write. If you want some album to be reviewed, send a copy - or recommend the site to a record label.

Is it possible to have my album reviewed on these pages?

The answer is unequivocally yes. Every CD / DVD sent my way - or, as the mail service may be flawed, received - is always reviewed on the site. Drop me a line at dmitry@epstein.to, and I'll send you the mailing address. But if you do, please, care to send the stuff: quite often an inquiry isn't followed by a promo package. Once it's received and in works, it appears here. And never ask to review the mp3's that are on your site - people can listen to it themselves if you find a way to draw their attention.

Could we arrange an interview with my band?

Quite unlikely if you're a new band. When there's only one album released - or yet to be released - there's nothing to base questions on. Still, no rule without exceptions, and one album sent my way and a recommendation from someone whose taste I trust can do the trick. If you've come from classic period - that's '60s-'70s - left your mark on the surface of music and have some great stories to share, you're welcome.

Is it possible to publish this news?

Of course, if it's interesting to a general public. But if your band plays a local pub on Wednesday evening, write about that to a local paper.

Can we link to each other's sites?

That depends on whether I'm ready to recommend your music to public in more ways than writing a review on your product and whether your site has an informative content to offer. A big collection of links never works anyway, so each entry must be useful to a visitor.

My post got deleted from the Guestbook / Forum. What's wrong with that?

It's because you either offend a fellow visitor or me, or put there a blatant advertising. For one, people got too web-minded and forget the real sense of the words: in a guestbook you leave your opinion of a home you visit, an exhibition you attend or, in the Internet, a site, while forum is a place for a discussion. And then, free advertising doesn't exist in this world: if you want to earn, pay for an ad space.
